While the Lindsay Clancy case has captured the nation’s attention, we want to ask a very specific question: Is “Not Guilty by reason of insanity” a biblical verdict? God’s word spends a great amount of time talking about justice and righteousness, so this should matter to us. Are we judged for our intent or for our actions, and does being under great mental strain or pressure free us from guilt under God’s law?
